Mrs. Susan Huaco grew up in a small New England town near Boston Massachusetts. After graduating from the School of Education at Boston College, Mrs. Huaco decided to go on a little road trip adventure. That road trip led her west along most of route 66 and on to San Francisco, where she decided to live and work. In 1989, Mrs. Huaco moved to Alameda, then on to Oakland, where she has happily lived ever since.
Mrs. Huaco has two daughters, both of which graduated from Corpus Christi. While her girls attended Corpus, she loved working as a parent volunteer. Her favorite roll was co-managing and teaching of the “Meet the Masters” Art Program, which she did for 7 years. In addition to her fondness for teaching art, she loved volunteering in the Library where she could help the children develop a healthy interest for books and reading. Mrs. Huaco is thrilled to be joining the Kindergarten team and working with all the new students.
In Mrs. Huaco’s spare time, she loves to swim, take her dog for walks, and try any new craft. She is also an avid cook and baker. Her current culinary obsession is centered around brigadeiros and creating new flavors of the Brazilian truffle.
