5th Grade Band

The Corpus Christi Beginning 5th Grade Band meets twice a week. Woodwinds meet on Mondays for lessons. Brass and percussion meet on Tuesdays. Full Band rehearsal is on Friday mornings. Students will practice out of the Essential Elements Method Book. 5th Grade Band will perform at the annual Christmas Concert in December and Spring Concert in May. Students test for instruments in the spring of 4th Grade and have an Instrument Trial Night provided by the Music Shoppe.

Junior High Band

Junior High Band consists of 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade students who have played for at least one year. They meet daily in the cafeteria from 3:00-3:45. Students can do sports and other clubs in addition to Band, but they will be responsible for practicing parts to get caught up. The Junior High Band members have the opportunity to perform at a Partner Schools football game in the fall and a basketball game during the winter at Central Catholic High School. Junior High Band members also get to participate in performing at pep rallies to send student athletes off to State. Students will perform a Christmas concert in December and a spring concert in May.
