I am a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Computer Science at UCLA (2021-present), co-advised by Kai-Wei Chang and Aditya Grover.
My research focuses on data and algorithms for (a) reasoning in large language and multimodal models (smaller weaker better, gen verifiers, honeybee, when2solve, openthoughts, openvlthinker), (b) vision-language understanding (lavida, cyclip, medmax, videocon), and (c) evaluating foundation models (mathvista, visit-bench, bbeh, videophy1/2).
I actively collaborate with other UCLA faculty, including Nanyun Peng, Jeffrey Brantingham, Hongjing Lu. Additionally, I have worked with Google on multimodal learning (mentors: Yonatan Bitton, Idan Szpektor) and datacomp on data curation (advisor: Ludwig Schimdt).
