2024 AI Workshop

The focus of this workshop is to equip schools with the necessary knowledge and tools to implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies in their teaching and learning environments. By bringing together insights from academia, industry professionals, and experienced teachers, the workshop aims to offer a comprehensive overview of how AI can be integrated into educational settings. Participants will engage in discussions and activities led by experts, exploring the latest AI tools, ethical considerations, and practical strategies. The workshop is designed to ensure attendees leave with actionable plans and a deeper understanding of how AI can enhance educational outcomes and prepare students for a future where AI plays a significant role. Through collaborative sessions, case studies, and hands-on experiences, educators will gain the confidence and skills to advocate for and implement AI technologies in their schools.

The workshop aims to achieve three specific goals to facilitate the integration of AI in schools. First, it seeks to guide participants in developing an AI education plan. This plan will detail how AI technologies can enhance teaching and learning processes within their institutions, ensuring that both schools and students can effectively use AI to support educational outcomes. Second, the workshop will help participants in developing AI career guides. This guide is designed to illuminate the array of career opportunities that AI technologies offer, aiming to educate students and teachers about the potential professional paths in AI. Lastly, an AI implementation plan will be crafted to address and navigate the ethical, institutional, and technical challenges associated with deploying AI technologies in educational settings. This plan will provide a structured approach for schools to overcome potential obstacles, supporting a smooth and responsible integration of AI tools and methodologies.
