Class overview
Kindergarten is a place where children have fun and learn all the basic academics they will need to be successful in first grade. My goal is to make learning as individual as possible with learning paths and frequent progress check-ins. We move, dance, play, build, wiggle, and sing every day. We also read, write, count, listen, share, and work. Often, students don't realize how hard they are working nor how much they are learning because the activities are so fun!

Grades Taught: First Grade (3 yrs), 3rd Grade (1 yr), Kindergarten (all the rest!)
Favorite thing about teaching kindergarten: I love to see the enormous amount of growth students make in reading, writing, and math throughout the year. I love watching them grow and develop a love for school and learning.
Hobbies: I am a very hands-on person. I love cross-stitching, plastic canvas needlepoint, and diamond painting crafts. I enjoy reading a variety of books from Stephen King novels to fantasy to historical fiction.
Some Favorite Things:
PIGS! OMG their squishy noses, pudgy bellies, and little oinks make me smile.
Power tools! I love working on house and woodworking projects.
Fairies! I collect fairy statues and ornaments.
My Family: Those crazy looking kids to the left are my two sons, Johnathan and Travis. Both are in middle school and I am so proud to be their mama. The furry things are my naughty dogs: Stubby, Peanut Butter, and Scout. They are masters of craziness and cuddling.
