Hello, visitors! Welcome to my website.
My name is Jing and I am a final-year PhD candidate in Linguistics at Cornell University. I am broadly interested in syntax, semantics, and their interface. I also maintain a strong empirical interest in understudied languages — figuring out the rules and patterns of a language is what drew me to linguistics in the first place.
Before I came to Cornell, I completed an MPhil in General Linguistics at the University of Oxford; I took modules in phonology, morphology, and historical linguistics. Prior to Oxford, I completed my undergraduate study in mathematics and economics at Mount Holyoke College.
