Biography

Felipe B G Silva is an assistant professor at the University of Missouri. He holds a PhD from the S C Johnson School of Management at Cornell University (accounting and finance), an M.Eng from the Operations Research and Information Engineering Department at Cornell University (financial engineering), and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronautica (Brazil).
His research focuses on financial reporting and financial economics and revolves around banking, macroeconomics, international economics, and political economy. His work has been published in several outlets such as the Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of International Money and Finance, Journal of Financial Services Research, Journal of International Accounting Research, Havard Business Review, California Management Review, Annals of Finance, and Journal of Risk, as well as featured in important media outlets such as The Washington Post and Bloomberg.
