Core embraces diversity in a serious way and we are seeking students from all backgrounds.
You should be excited about learning about these topics! But, you do not need to have any experience in these areas to apply. You should live in the United States, be in the 10th, 11th or 12th grade, and be interested in gaining some real-world experience.
The internship will begin in August 2021. Your commitment will be to meet with your team online two days per week, for two hours each day. Following each day, you may be assigned work to complete before your next session that will last approximately 1-2 hours. I.e., overall the commitment is expected to be 6-8 hours per week. The internship will last for at least 4 weeks but could be up to 12 weeks, and will be flexible with your schedule as for the days of the week. Throughout each week, you will help out with various research tasks. If you are selected for the internship, a mentor will work with you to figure out your work schedule.
Due to Covid-19, this internship will be fully online. You will meet with your mentor on video-calls, so you will need a stable internet connection that is capable of streaming video through. Core can provide a laptop for you to use during the internship if needed.
You will be compensated with a stipend of $200 for a 4 week time commitment (up to 24 hours of your time). Additional time participating in the internship beyond then will be optional and not paid. Payment will be made at the end of the 4 weeks.
You may be eligible for course credit at completion of this internship based on your school’s policies. If you are interested in pursuing course credit, please provide us with information about your school’s policies for course credit and with the contact information of the coordinator of this program at your school (e.g., school counselor).
In 500 words or less, give us an introduction to who you are and why you are interested in this internship. Tell us also about the best or worst designed product you’ve ever used, and why it was the best or worst product.
Tell us about the days of the week Monday through Friday that you are available for the two hour meetings. This internship will require you to be online and available for two hour periods twice per week.
Please apply here.
