The Subcommittee on Cyber-security and Information Protection (SCsIP) is a committee of the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver. Its purpose is to recommend and share information about information technology risks and threats, and to provide guidance from recognized authoritative sources to help protect Jewish agencies in our community.
Our goal is to assist the agencies protect their information and computer systems by providing resources to help prevent or mitigate loss, cost and liabilities stemming from data or systems breaches.
We assist with best practices, assessment tools and training materials. Where appropriate, we will also help Jewish community agencies work together to procure and implement cyber-security services from commercial providers.
We seek to recruit knowledgeable cyber-security and information protection practitioners in our community to volunteer their time and knowledge to assist Jewish community organizations.
