Session by: Taryn Mason - CCMH Institute Director and Beth Sundblad, Psychiatric Support Specialist, CCMH
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to identify, understand and respond to signs
of mental health and substance use challenges among adolescents ages 12-18. You’ll build
skills and confidence you need to reach out and provide initial support to young people who
are struggling. You’ll also learn how to help connect them to appropriate support.
This training requires a 2-hour online component that MUST be completed by Monday February 12th.
Participants are not able to gain access to the class until the online component is finished.
CCISD will pay a $50.00 stipend to eligible school employees. The stipend is provided by Project Aware funds to compensate for the 2-hour online component of the course. The online portion and in-person Youth Mental Health First Aid training on February 16 must both be completed to receive the stipend.
