Join the "Rethinking Social Studies" learning experience for the day to explore professional empowerment, gain inquiry-based ideas to improve your practice, and explore resources to boost student engagement.  Sessions are offered during each breakout session.

Getting students to think critically about local, state, national and world wide events is more important than ever!  Students have questions and it's the job of the Social Studies teacher to teach kids how to access and digest information.  This session will dig into what the law says social studies educators must do including discussion around how to teach “hard topics” in today’s learning spaces.
