KANSAS CITY CHIEFS:
In “Big Red” we trust. With a dominating 15-2 record, the Chiefs are on the hunt for their 3rd straight Super Bowl win after just recently winning their 5th AFC Championship in the last 6 years. Led by coach Andy Reid and commander-in-chief Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs have been on a roll this season. The offense has picked it up throughout the second half of the season and the playoffs. With returning star players Marquise “Hollywood” Brown and Isaiah Pacheco, the combination of run and pass has been exquisite. If there is any hot take I could make about the Chiefs, I believe this defense is the best group that the Chiefs have had in the past decade. Just like the offense, the Chiefs have a crazy one-two punch in both the pass rush and the pass defense. With all-pro Chris Jones on the line and promising young stars like Trent McDuffie and George Karlaftis, the defense is looking better than ever and the road to their 3rd straight Lombardi is just 60 minutes away.
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES:
Fly Eagles Fly!!! The Eagles are soaring their way to their second super bowl in the last 3 years. With coach Sirianni and Jalen Hurts at the helm, the Eagles have the best run game and one of the best passing attacks in the league. The addition of Saquan Barkley in the offseason to combo with Jalen Hurts has completely re-evolved the Eagles offensive attack. Defenses don’t know whether the Eagles are going to pass or run because there is no weak spot on that offense to exploit. If the offense was scary, the defense might be even more terrifying. With DPOY candidate Zack Baun, the Eagles have developed a more aggressive scheme against offenses. With young pass rushers such as Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith Jr., the defense has created the ‘play behind the sticks and force turnovers team’ that they needed to be years ago. Honestly, I don’t know who is going to win the super bowl this year but, all I know is that it’s going to be a movie and Barkley’s got the lead role.
