̈Do I titillate your mind? ̈ Is a hysterical question from one of Daniel Caesar’s songs. Don’t know who Daniel Caesar is? Born on April 5, 1995, Daniel Caesar is a music artist from Toronto, Canada. His real name is Ashton Simmonds. He was raised in a religious household and loved gospel music; he received his first guitar at the age 10. At age 17 he moved out of his home and became homeless for a while. During this time he was staying at a different friend’s house, and sometimes even sleeping on a bench. Ashton got his stage name from a biblical figure ̈Daniel ̈ and the name ̈Caesar ̈ from the Roman leader Julius Caesar.
Daniel Caesar makes R&B/Soul music. The first song he released was “Medulla Oblongata” on November 3, 2013, and he gained a lot of recognition for his debut song. Later, he released his first album “Freudian” on August 25, 2017. The most popular song on that album is “Get you” featuring Kali Uchis with 1.4 billion streams. Two years later, Daniel Caesar released another album “Case Study 01” in 2019. While it is not as popular as the first album, the most streamed song, “Cyanide” has 272 million streams. If you find this interesting he is going on tour 2025-2026 ’for free. The only catch is he’s only giving a short notice less than 24 hours.
