Design and TEchnology

Design and Technology is the future.

Our curriculum encourages a level of creativity and problem solving necessary to survive, teaches essential life skills and the resilience to re-do and try again if something goes wrong, rather than to give up.

Our curriculum teaches the science of how our bodies use energy and how we can use food to survive, as well as learning how our food is made and the function of ingredients. It teaches students how to ‘be healthy’.

Our curriculum involves a diverse range of subjects that develop the academic skills, thinking skills and practical skills essential to adult life, to the working world and to solving future problems.

Without Design and Technology there is no innovative design, new inventions, or new technology.

The students who study DT now will be the ones saving the world in the future through clever, practical solutions to the problems of today.

If you are considering a GCSE option in a tech subject, there is information on the below slideshow.
