Counselling

You can self-refer to the counsellor either through Rhian or at the Student Support desk in the Hive. Rhian will prioritise those students most in need to see Richard Moosbally, the College counsellor employed via 42nd Street but there are usually a few drop-in sessions available, so it is worth contacting Rhian or student support to see if there is a drop-in slot available.  Richard will be in College on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Appointments are sent out by text and email to you on the morning of your appointment. Registers are updated to show that you are on site but not in class; we always strive to make appointments which do not clash with timetabled lessons but this is not always possible.

Referrals

During Connell Start we ask that teachers play close attention to the abilities of their students. This could range from learning difficulties to communication and interaction difficulties, but most commonly Social, Emotional and Mental Health difficulties. Teachers will make SEND referrals, Rhian will then meet with the students to assess needs and intervene if necessary.
