On September 19th, the Conroe high football team had their homecoming game. Tanner Trantham and Eva Lantange were crowned king and queen in front of a large crowd.
After the crowning, Eva Lantange was named homecoming queen and felt excited and was a little unexpected.
“It feels amazing . It was super exciting and a little unexpected, but I’m really grateful for this night,” senior Eva Lantange said.
When her name was called, she said she was surprised and reflective over her years at Conroe.
“I’ve learned and grown so much these past four years, so to be voted homecoming queen by everyone meant a lot to me,” Lantagne said.
Confidence was always there, and out of appreciation for the school community and the people who have shaped her time here.
“I’ve had the blessing of being involved in a lot of different clubs and meeting so many people,” Lantagne said “I wanted to represent Conroe and the people who mean so much to me.”
Tanner Trantham was crowned king and felt the moment was unreal.
“It feels awesome, it’s something I kind of dreamed of when I was younger but never really thought would happen,” senior Tanner Trantham said.
Nominating for homecoming king was not a plan but decided to take it serious once he got nominated.
The votes were all from working hard and he mainly focuses on who helped him achieve his goals and get him to this point.
“I worked hard but it was all thanks to my girlfriend and my parents,” Trantham said. “My mom helped me make the posters and got all the candy, and everybody helped spread the word to vote.”
