Ever been bored in class and started wondering what you would do if a zombie apocalypse were to happen RIGHT NOW? Seems like a scary situation, right? What would you even do? Well, this article is going to explain how to survive that situation, and hopefully you will be prepared and maybe–just maybe–survive.
A school is a horrible place to be for a zombie apocalypse to hit. Due to the abundance of students with no survival skills, natural selection would make the halls fill up with zombies–fast. Step one would be to gather weapons and barricade the entrances. Desks, chairs, and shelves would be ideal to barricade the doors and windows. Once that is done, look for weaponry. Long range weapons would be ideal, whatever will help you put as much distance between you and the zombies as possible. Baseball bats, rackets, and even an easel from art class would suffice.
The next step would be to make a plan with a route. Make sure to know your way out and avoid bathrooms or halls with a dead end–really anywhere where you can get trapped by a hoard of zombies–or even other students. Which brings me to the next stage: Make allies. Friends are important to any high school experience, but even more crucial in an apocalypse. Make allies–preferably skilled or useful, maybe one of the culinary kids–because they are going to be the difference between a bad life and a bad death.
Speaking of culinary, you are going to need food, water, and resources. Raid the kitchens if you can, but we all know many teachers have their own snack stash. Start filling up clean containers with water from the fountains–who knows how long they may run? One of the benefits of being in school in this unfortunate time is that there are a lot of materials and resources that you may not find in your own home.
With everything considered, I don’t think many of us would last a week if this situation were to occur, but at least with this article, you may have an idea of how to live just a second longer. That’s always been the strategy, hasn’t it? Just try and make sure you are around an empty, rural area with a lot of weapons and food when the zombie apocalypse starts–I’m sure the steps in this article still apply. Stay alive, and and remember that this is likely not to happen–but being prepared never hurt anyone.
