Snow days are fun breaks from school, whether it's a surprise day off or a chance to have fun and play outside. They’re there as a reminder to slow down and enjoy the simple things.
Students were in for a nice surprise in the morning when they were greeted by a big blanket of snow on a school morning. Some students were pleasantly surprised.
“When I found out that school was canceled for the day I went , ‘oh my days!!’ and I was super happy. And I prayed that the rest of the week would be off too.” said junior Rachel Le
For some students it was also their very first snow day here in Conroe, some have never even seen snow before. But they all made sure to enjoy the day.
“I ran outside with my brother and dog and also threw snowballs around the yard.”said junior Kaitlynn Countryman
All people spend their snow days in their own unique ways, some may sleep in while others make sure to enjoy the moment.
“For me the most fun part of a snow day is going outside and taking pictures of my brother, also almost getting frostbite from the sheer cold outside.” said junior Rachel Le
Although Texas snow is more rare in the area we also make sure to enjoy the snow even more.
“It is rare for it to snow in Texas, making people more excited about the snow. People like the snow more here since it is so rare.” said junior Kaitlynn Countryman
