The world moves faster, distractions are louder, and old advice doesn’t always fit anymore. Improving yourself isn’t about hitting the reset button; it’s about smarter and purposeful choices. 2026 is a chance to start building real momentum.
As 2026 progresses, individuals begin to rethink how to grow and how to build future-ready skills, and the steps it takes to acquire them.
“I plan on developing my public speaking skills in 2026. One step I’m taking to acquire this skill is joining the public speaking contest for the Montgomery County Fair and Rodeo,” junior Anna Imerman said.
Once the commitment to personal growth is developed, students make knowing how to measure and track it just as important as pursuing it.
“I plan on tracking my personal growth by writing down what I did, the result, and what I want the outcome to be and the steps I need to take,” junior Addie Burnett said.
Improvement doesn’t stop at personal growth. It is evaluated in connections, which is why attention is shifting towards how relationships can be strengthened both personally and professionally.
“To improve relationships both personally and professionally, I plan to communicate better and to remember things in advance,” junior Kylie Peterson said.
