Weekly Information

📚Reading: Kindergarten students will begin reading informational, or non-fiction, books this month. Our focus will be on understanding that informational books are written to teach us new information and non-fiction text features. Students should practice their letters, letter sounds, and sight words at home daily. 

✏️Writing: Kindergartener students will begin writing informational pieces in November. Students will write all about a topic that they are experts on.

🔢Mathematics:  Students will learn about the numbers 0-10 in math this month. Students will practice counting sets and comparing two sets of objects using comparative language, such as 'more than' and 'fewer/less than.' Counting out loud to 100 is an awesome thing to practice together.

🔬Science: Students will explore landforms. 

🌎Social Studies: Students will learn about the importance of voting and differences in family customs and traditions as we prepare for Thanksgiving. 

Please make sure that your child has a change of clothes in their backpack. We do not have extra clothes available in case of an accident or emergency.
