March - Weekly Information

📚Reading: We will explore poetry during the month of March. Students will explore rhythm and rhyming words while learning new poems. 

✏️Writing: Students will write personal narratives, writing true stories about themselves with a beginning, middle, and end. 

🔢Mathematics: In March, kindergarten scholars will work on joining and separating word problems using objects and pictures. They will learn about the plus sign, minus sign, and equals sign during this month. 

🔬Science: We will learn about plants, plants parts, and plant life-cycles during March and April. 

🌎Social Studies: We will conclude our Texas unit with a rodeo on March 7th. Students will get to participate in stick horse racing, line dancing, and can even get their faces painted.

Please make sure that your child has a change of clothes in their backpack. We do not have extra clothes available in case of an accident or emergency.

Cold weather is coming! Please make sure your child's name is written on their jacket!

March 7 - Kindergarten Rodeo (wear your cowboy clothes!)

March 10-14 - Spring Break

April 14 - Kindergarten Field Trip (more info. to come)
