March - Weekly Information

📚Reading: We will finish our narrative unit and then read persuasive and non-fiction texts in the month of April. 

✏️Writing: Students will write personal narratives, writing true stories about themselves with a beginning, middle, and end. At the end of the month, we will begin our animal research unit. 

🔢Mathematics:  Students will work on addition and subtraction with numbers up to 10. Please continue to count to 100 and backwards from 20 everyday. Students should have these skills mastered before first grade.

🔬Science: Students will learn about plants this month.

🌎Social Studies: Kindergarten will continue our Economics & Technology unit. We will examine how technology affects our lives. 

Please make sure that your child has a change of clothes in their backpack. We do not have extra clothes available in case of an accident or emergency.
