In this unit, Kindergarten students cared for a stuffed animal wolf the way they would care for an animal in their family or ‘wolfpack’. They also learned important skills and norms about school by also ‘teaching’ them to their wolf. Students can now describe characteristics of wolves, their habitat, and the ways they interact. They also delved deeper into the meaning of a ‘wolfpack’ and looked at the ways wolves care for one another in their packs.
