On this page we hope to give you all the needed information to register your child for Kindergarten at R. F. Morrison School for the 2023-2024 school year. KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Registration starts Monday, February 27th at 9:00 a.m.
Registration is online via the Seven Oaks School Division website:
Kindergarten Registration - Seven Oaks School Division (7oaks.org) or alternatively you can call the school to make an appointment to register in person.
Families must register for their catchment school prior to requesting a school of choice. You can find your catchment school by using the Seven Oaks School Division Boundary Map.
A.M./P.M. preferences help us to plan but are not guaranteed.
REGISTRATION CHECKLIST
Child must be 5 years old before Dec. 31, 2023 (born in 2018)
Verify address with 2 pieces of ID (current utility bill preferred as one piece)
Child’s birth certificate (or hospital record, or permanent/temporary resident number if from out of country). Online registration will require you to upload an electronic document. In person registrations will require these documents to be photocopied.
Emergency Information (9 digit and 6 digit health numbers and 2 emergency contacts we can reach if we are unable to contact a parent)
Any relevant legal documents (i.e., restrictions, protection orders, care/custody orders, etc.)

The free preschool program at R. F. Morrison is for children ages 0-6 and their parent/caregiver. Together with your child you will participate in stories, rhymes and songs, art activities, nutritious snacks, free play and gym time. This is a great opportunity for your child to be part of our school environment, to learn and grow with their peers. The program is offered on Mondays and Wednesdays 9:05 a.m. - 10:50 a.m.

ARE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW LOOKING FOR A PRESCHOOL FOR A CHILD AGED 2-6?
The Seven Oaks Sadok Inc. is a great way to introduce your preschooler to a new language and a school environment.
Morning Program: 9:00 A.M. – 11:20 A.M. (MONDAY- FRIDAY)
You may drop off your child as early as 9:00 a.m. Each preschooler is to bring their own healthy snack and beverage, indoor runners and as well as a picture of themselves
After Kindergarten Program: 11:30 A.M.-3:20 P.M. (MONDAY- FRIDAY)
Your child is met at their Kindergarten classroom and brought to the Nursery Program. Families provide a lunch for their child, and afternoon snack daily.
The Manitoba Parents for Ukrainian Education (MPUE) is a volunteer-driven, non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, enhancement and expansion of the English-Ukrainian Bilingual Program in Manitoba. MPUE is the umbrella organization which provides support for the parent organizations associated with each of the schools providing the English-Ukrainian Bilingual Program (EUBP). Enrolling your child in the EUBP provides a strong connection to community, with inter-school activities that occur beginning in grade 4, with other EUBP students from across the Province. We see EUBP students develop friendships beyond just their own school. Learning another language - particularly among young children - can help your child with listening skills, improve cognitive abilities, enhance communication skills in their first language, and develop a deeper understanding of culture.
