Before you start the enterprise challenge you need to complete a questionnaire to identify which skills you have already mastered and which ones you still need to work on.
Use the Traffic Light Skills audit to identify 5 skills, which you need to improve, in order to complete the Enterprise challenge. Ensure that you consider how you will address these and identify time scales.

Write down your top three roles in order of preference along with an explanation of why you would or wouldn’t like to do that particular job
You now need to write a formal letter of application detailing why you think you would be a suitable person for the role you prefer
Your formal letter must include :
Get into groups of 4/5. You now need to have a team meeting to decide who in your team is best suited to each role.
Ensure that somebody in your team completes the minutes form
You now need to show that you have an understanding of what the task is which you need to complete by writing an introduction to the task. You need to write at least 1/2 page in size 12
You now need to complete a SWOT analysis of the role you have been given, identifying:
You now need to use the internet to research the different leavers products which you could sell.
Once you have have written a list of the possibilities, go through each product and complete a SWOT analysis evaluating the products suitability to sell to other year 11 students
Now you have completed your research, meet again as a team and decide upon which product you are going to pitch to the dragons

You will now be working as part of your teams. Every job below need to be completed. You will need to share the jobs out.
This person is responsible for making key decisions about the business. You are the person in charge but remember that being the boss doesn’t mean being bossy. You need to manage any problems and keep the team working together.
Your job is to start writing the business plan for the company using the template. You will write sections 1-4 and the rest of the team will support you with the rest
Business Plan - A formal written document containing key details about a business
Primary Research - is information that is first-hand information. It has been collected by the business for a specific purpose.
Secondary Research - is information that is second hand. It has already been collected by someone else.
This person is responsible for researching what people want from the product. They need to feed this information back to their team to help them to design their own product and price it at correctly.
Firstly you need to do primary research (View helpsheet) You will create a questionnaire asking people want they want. This will allow you to then create graphs and analyse them during your presentation
Now complete secondary research by looking on the internet how much different companies charge for their products
This person’s job is to make the product or organise the activity. You need to be practical and hands-on. Being the production manager also means you need to be good at choosing the right materials to make your products.
You need to start designing the final product. You need to create 4 designs and complete a SWOT analysis of each, using the template below. Designs can be hand drawn or using the computer
Marketing is all about communicating your idea or product to your customers. It includes creating posters, logos and other forms of advertising.
Your first job is to start by branding your company by finalising its name/ logo/ slogan.
You then need to create other promotional material for your business, this could include Posters/ Flyers/ Social Media/ Animation/ Videos
This person is responsible for looking after all the money. You need to make sure your product or activity is being sold at the right price.
You need to start by researching how much it will cost to make your product. This will then help you determine how much you will charge for yours to make a profit. You also need to decide which pricing strategy you will use and why. Finally you will use the template provided to make a break-even chart.
Break-even charts show how many products you will need to sell to make a profit.

Your pitch cannot just be a PowerPoint, you must create other materials too such as prompt cards/ visual elements.
Your presentation must include reference to the 4 p's - Price , product, place , promotion
It is suggested that you make a presentation on Google slides which all the group can add to.
