Dear Bunche Bear Family!

Welcome to the 2020-2021 school year! The first day of school is August 20th. I hope that you and your loved ones are staying safe and missing us as much as we miss you. We are anxiously looking for another school and our staff is dedicated to ensuring each of our Bear cubs receive a rigorous and engaging instruction. Compton Unified School District is not only diligent in honoring our commitment to highly engaged instruction, but we are also going above and beyond ensuring each and every student is provided instruction in a safe environment. As you may have already learned this year we will start with 100% Distance Learning Learning Platform.

Learning opportunities for students will continue in our teachers’ Google Classrooms. Soon you will receive communication from your child’s new teacher providing you with a class code to join their Google Classroom. Although instruction will take place via a virtual platform, we assure you that assignments will continue to be updated daily and opportunities for instructional meetings with a teacher via Zoom or Google Meets.

In addition to our Teacher’s Google Classrooms, we have scheduled textbooks/device distribution beginning August 13th, please visit our school website or ParentSquare for your scheduled grade level date/time. We ask that you please adhere to the schedule for your child’s grade level. We will also be holding a Town Hall via Zoom for parents on Tuesday, August 18th @5:30P to further explain our immediate plans and address the concerns that you may have. The link for Zoom has been shared with you on Parentsquare and our school website. I understand that some of you may not have internet connectivity at this point, please inform the school when you come to your scheduled checkout day.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we all navigate this new way of learning. We understand that everyone is making a transition that will take some time. Please keep in mind that we are all on this new learning journey together.
