Greetings Bunche Middle School Community!

Welcome Bunche Bulldogs to the 2020-2021 school year! It is a true honor to become a part of this magnificent community in our dynamic district. I hope this summer has allowed you to become refreshed, rejuvenated and ready for an amazing school year. Teachers truly miss interacting with students and collaborating with one another. We long for the day to hear the laughter, see your smiles, and feel your energy through a fist bump or high five as we cross paths in the hallways.

The first day of instruction will begin on Thursday, August 20, 2020 via distance learning. This mean students will begin the school year learning AT HOME through online instruction from their teachers.

Teachers will be instructing and interacting with students daily via Zoom or Google Meets. It is extremely important that ALL students login to their Zoom or Google Meets live lessons and Google Classrooms daily in order to engage and actively participate in all learning activities. Google Classroom join codes will be published on Parent Square and school website. Teachers are aware and concerned of potential learning gaps due to the covid closure. In order to address those concerns and support the continuum of learning of all students, we will assess students and provide targeted interventions within the online platform.

Prior to the first day of instruction, there are items for business that need to be taken care of. Parents/Guardians must complete all registration paperwork and students must pickup a device and textbooks. Additionally, Tdap vaccines must be updated.=

Thank you for your patience as we all navigate this new way of learning. We understand that everyone is making a transition that will take some time. I am confident that our teachers and students at Bunche Middle have been well prepared in Google Classroom and in the use of technology. They are simply continuing what they have been doing all along.
