Mr. Chairman, the Good Majority Leader, I am proud and honorerd and very happy to second the confirmation of the nomination of my “Mistah” in the PMA Sinagtala Class of 1986, a proud member of the Long Gray Line, a loyal servant of the Republic in the Armed Forces.

Thank you, Mr. Chairman at magandang umaga po sa -- magandang tanghali po sa ating lahat.
Noting and affirming the affirmation of commitment to civilian supremacy over the military by the young M/Gen. Allen Paredes; taking particular pride in the achievements of the celebrated M/Gen. Cirilito Sobejana; taking particular personal pride, Mr. Chairman, as a woman, in the inclusion of my kabaro among the 74 individuals, namely: B/Gen. Maxima Ignacio; Col. Marinela M. Cailipan, (Reserve); and Col. Felisa S. Tuliao; and, Mr. Chairman, with particular pride and joy in the inclusion of two mistah in the Philippine Military Academy Class of -- Sinagtala Class of 1986, namely: B/Gen. Pablo Lorenzo and Col. Adrian Sanchez Jr., I am proud and honored, Mr. Chairman, to second the confirmation of the appointment of 74 senior officers of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, true officers and gentlemen and ladies, defenders of the Constitution and who will uphold civilian supremacy over the military. Their rise of the military ladder signals our collective hope for genuine and lasting reforms in the military. Maraming salamat po, Mr. Chairman, at mabuhay po sa ating mga opisyales.
