Hello Freiheit families! 

I’m Mrs. Olsen, and I am so excited to be one of our campus interventionists this year! I get the BEST job because I get to work with students in both math and reading from kindergarten through 5th grade. Helping students learn, grow, and discover that they can do hard things truly fills my bucket!

Before becoming an interventionist, I was one of our instructional coaches here at FES. I absolutely loved working with our teachers and helping them grow because I truly believe that every student deserves an amazing teacher! But, if I’m being honest, my heart has always been with the kiddos. There is nothing better than watching a student have that “AHA!” moment or seeing their confidence grow when they realize, “Hey, I CAN do this!” ❤️

I have been an educator since 2012, but I have been working with kids for as long as I can remember! Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to teach 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grades, work as a dyslexia teacher, serve as a campus reading instructional coach, and an interventionist.

I love foundational skills in both math and reading. I truly believe that building a strong foundation helps students become confident learners and sets them up for success throughout their academic journey—and beyond! My goal is to help every student feel capable, confident, and proud of their progress.

I am excited to partner with you and your family this year! We are a team, and I believe that when teachers and families work together, amazing things can happen. My hope is that your child leaves each time we work together thinking, “I can do this!” 🌟

I am so excited for this school year and cannot wait to get to know your child, celebrate their successes, cheer them on through the challenges, and watch them GROW!
