Teaching Apps - Google Classroom, Seesaw

For Columbus Academy grades 'Explorers' through 5th, our faculty use an online digital portfolio tool called Seesaw that allows them to share their students' work and post updates on their class-specific Journals with photos, videos and documents throughout the school day. In addition, it allows our students to share work that they are excited about, and parents have access to look at the shared images and make comments.

Seesaw can be accessed directly via web site, or mobile apps on iOS and Android devices to easily post and update your classroom journal.

Google Classroom is introduced to Columbus Academy students starting at 4th Grade, which helps them get familiar with the use of the product by the time they reach Middle School in 6th Grade, and then they will be expected to use it to work on and submit their class assignments all through 12th Grade. Google Classroom is closely linked to various tools that we use in Columbus Academy, and it is also tied to our primary cloud storage in Google Drive.

Google Classroom is accessible via the official web site, or the official Google Android and Apple iOS/iPadOS apps. The Google Classroom app is installed on all Columbus Academy iPads. On computers, you should access it from your favorite web browser.
