Columbus Academy Summer Internship Program

All current upper school students are invited to participate in the Columbus Academy Summer Internship Program. Interested students must attend the Internship Workshop to become eligible to apply and participate. Individual positions may have specific age restrictions.

Students will be selected by our organization partners through an application and interview process. Students will not be automatically placed in an internship position.

There is no limit to the number of positions students can apply for. Students are advised to make responsible choices and only apply for positions they are truly interested in.

There are a variety of paid and unpaid internship positions available. Students selected to an unpaid position will be eligible to apply for a stipend grant from the Internship Office.

Per upper school policy, students will not receive academic credit for their summer internship experience.

Students may only accept one position with the Columbus Academy Summer Internship Program.

Most organization partners are flexible and time off for a vacation, camp or summer enrichment experience may be possible. Students should discuss the possibility of time off during their interview process. It is advised that students ask for no more than one week of time off from their internship experience.

Yes, students in good standing are permitted to participate in the Columbus Academy Summer Internship Program for multiple summers.
