{Ohio State University} Financial Planning Academy
Spend a fun-filled week in person participating in events designed to help high school students deepen their understanding of personal finance and the profession of financial planning. Interact with financial experts from across the country and further develop skills in leadership, communication, team building, entrepreneurship, marketing, and more!
Financial Planning Academy, developed by Texas Tech University and funded by Charles Schwab Foundation, is a summer program that offers rising high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors education, and training in the core areas of personal financial management. The week will include working in small teams on a financial planning case study, developing a financial plan, and participating in other competitions for scholarships and prizes. In addition to promoting financial literacy among America's youth, the camp will provide insight into the Registered Investment Advisory (RIA) industry and show students the value of financial planning as a profession.
This multi-university program will be hosted at the following universities this summer: Texas Tech University, Prairie View A & M, The Ohio State University, University of Arizona, University of Georgia, University of Missouri, Kansas State University, and William Paterson University. The combination of these eight institutions provides remarkable opportunities to connect with college students, faculty, and career professionals.

{Summer Springboard} Finance & Investing Course
Students will break into teams with each team selecting a promising stock that the team will research throughout the course and ultimately pitch to a group of investors. Faculty will provide hands-on help to students throughout this process. Along the way; students will be introduced to core investment concepts including the characteristics of different asset classes, public vs private equity, the workings of the stock market, company financials, company valuation and portfolio design. By using an experiential learning approach, students will quickly engage in the topic, and the instructor introduces the underlying theory and concepts as students proceed with their project.
{The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania} Essentials of Finance
Wharton Essentials of Finance (formerly the Global Young Leaders Academy-Finance) is an intensive two-week summer opportunity for a select group of high school students currently enrolled in 9th to 11th grades. This exploratory program dissects all aspects of finance –from the time value of money and corporate finance to ethics and decision-making.

Get ahead of the game. Learn and experience how investing works. Dive into the world of investments – stocks, bonds and mutual funds/exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Meet and collaborate with Wake Forest School of Business faculty and industry experts to get a glimpse of finance and investing from the collegiate level to the professional world.
