“You have a clean slate every day you wake up. You have a chance every single morning to make that change and be the person you want to be. You just have to decide to do it. Decide today’s the day. Say it: this is going to be my day.”
― Brendon Burchard

School Library Month is AASL‘s celebration of school librarians and school libraries and despite circumstances, there is a lot to celebrate right now.
Mrs. Egan, Columbus School District Library Director, is working hard to make our school libraries remain a vital part of student and staff lives within these crazy times of online schooling:
Curating resources for teachers and students transitioning to remote instruction and learning
Providing books alongside meals in conjunction with school food services
Collaborating with public libraries to expand digital access
Creating numerous e-resource tutorials
Adapting school library websites to include items and resources to help both students and staff experience the best remote learning possible.
Due to recent developments with the coronavirus epidemic, Columbus schools have been closed. In-school Monthly Themes have been suspended, but will resume with online information for the months of April and May.
