Columbus County School Board Policy 4150 allows for parents/guardians to request student reassignment outside of their district zoned school OR from outside of the Columbus County School District if space is available in in the school requested.
Student reassignment is subject to the following parameters:
Class size limitations and teacher allotments allow for room at the receiving school.
Transportation to reassigned school is the responsibility of the parent/guardian
School Reassignment is subject to Superintendent and School Board Approval
ALL school reassignments must be approved annually (each school year).
Fill out this form to request if you live OUTSIDE of the Columbus County School District and would like to request district reassignment WITHIN Columbus County Schools.
Please note, if reassignment is approved:
1. Tuition payment of $1,326.62 is due to Columbus County Schools prior to the start of the school year.
2. Transportation to and from school is the sole responsibility of the parent/guardian.
3. The student must be released from the school district where they current reside.
4. The approval is subject to the 2025-26 school year only.
5. All transfer requests MUST be submitted no later than May 31st, 2025
