Prerequisites: Biology I, Earth Science, & Algebra I

Chemistry is a yearlong science course involving the study of chemical principles and concepts. It is a general college preparatory course. Topics include: General laboratory skills, mathematical skills including scientific notation, significant figures, arithmetic operations, and graphing techniques, modeling of an atom, use of the periodic table, molecular naming, predication of reactions, stoichiometry and other molar relationships, gas laws, and analysis of acids, bases and salts.
