Interview Schedule For Summer 2023 Season for Aquatics New Lifeguards, Assistant CNSL Coaches, & Instructors:
In order to be an Aquatics New Lifeguard, Lesson Instructor, or Aquatics CNSL Assistant Coach for CA you must be 15 by May 26th, 2023.

  • The first step in the process is to submit an application starting on or after 12/5/22

  • The second step is to pass a precertification water screening. You will need to pre-register by calling the Aquatics Office at 410-312-6332.

    The precertification water screenings will take place at the:

Monday's @ 5 pm from December 12th - January 23rd, 2023

Wednesday's @ 6 pm from December 14th - January 25th, 2023

Friday's @ 3 pm from December 16th - January 20th, 2023


Applicants will be asked to swim 200-yard swim (8 lengths), retrieve a ten pound brick from the diving well (feet first), and tread water for two minutes.

To help prepare applicants for the Certification Pre-test, we are offering two Water Screening Walk-throughs in early December from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm at the Columbia Swim Center. During these sessions, certified instructors will provide tips, tutorials, and insight into the entire certification process.

You will need to pre-register by calling the Aquatics Office at 410-312-6332.

  • After successful completion of the Precertification Water Screening, applicants will be contacted to schedule a Group Interview.

All Other Aquatics Summer Positions

If you are “Active”/ ”Inactive" in Dayforce and wish to apply for a promotion for the summer you will need to apply within your Dayforce account starting 12/5/22.

  • Go to your Dayforce Home page and

  • Click on Careers and find the position for which you would like to apply.

If you are having difficulties logging into DayForce e-mail Aquatics@ColumbiaAssociation.org, your summer application must be done in your CA DayForce account.

If you are “Active”/ ”Inactive" in Dayforce and do not wish to pursue a promotion you will need to send an email to Aquatics@ColumbiaAssociation.org beginning 12/5/22 stating that you wish to work in the same position for the 2023 summer season and your top three pool preferences.

If you are not currently working and your Dayforce account is Terminated please go to the Aquatics Website www.columbiaassociation.org/aquatics starting 12/5/2022 and click on hiring to find the position for which you would like to apply.
