This is a painting inspired by Gustav Klimt, one of the most renowned symbolist painters in the world. I adore Klimt´s use of vibrant colours and geometric shapes in expressing the unconsciousness. Here the lady is absorbed in the comfort of her cat´s company, whereas the cat is in her own thinking in a different world, which can be seen in her wandering eyes and the realistic strokes done on her in contrast with the Art Nouveau style of the whole painting. 

Sometimes it is good to be different. It highlights your personality and true temperament. 

Esta obra está inspirada en Gustav Klimt, uno de los pintores simbolistas más reconocidos del mundo. Adoro el uso que hace Klimt de colores vibrantes y formas geométricas para expresar el inconsciente. Aquí la dama está absorta en la comodidad de la compañía de su gato, mientras que el gato está inmerso en sus propios pensamientos en un mundo diferente, que se puede ver en sus ojos errantes y en los trazos realistas que se le hacen en contraste con el estilo Art Nouveau de toda la obra.

A veces es bueno ser diferente. Hace que salga a relucir tu personalidad y tu verdadero temperamento.
