我愛吃湯麵。在冬天手都被冷得僵硬時，或是面對一堆做不完的文件連飯也咽不下時， 一碗熱騰騰的湯面，馬上給我灑上無限的幸福感！我的大兒子今年15歲，過去他的八個生辰，我們都帶他去他最喜歡的麵店，吃一碗他自己點的湯麵。他生日是在新年的第二天。話說八年前他的生日，我們第一次光顧這麵店。麵店的桌墊是一張祝賀新年的白紙，紙上寫著「歡迎你寫下你新一年的願望，在我們的IG里分享。分享者有機會獲得大獎。」那一年大兒子就在桌墊上寫上他的願望。雖然他沒有贏得麵店的大獎，但他的願望實現了！多麼幸運啊！自此，一碗熱騰騰、材料由自己配搭的摯愛湯麵，就成了我們家所謂的 「幸運面」。

幸福不一定是開個昂貴的生日派對，也不一定是擁有光鮮亮麗的衣服，或是銀行存有很多很多的錢。幸福是有愛你的人陪伴，是眼前一點點的滿足和一絲絲的暖意，而你擁有健康的身心去享受它、分享它。

I love noodle soup. In Winter when my hands are stiff from the cold, or when I am overloaded with work and lose my appetite, a bowl of hot noodle soup immediately fills me with infinite happiness! My elder son is 15 years old now. For his last eight birthdays, we took him to his favourite noodle shop in town so that he could order for himself a bowl of scrumptious noodle soup. His birthday is on the day after New Year. Eight years ago on his birthday we visited that noodle shop for the first time. The table mat in front of each client was a piece of white paper that wrote, "Happy New Year! You are welcome to write down your New Year wish and share with us on our IG. Those who share will have a chance to win a grand prize." That year, my elder son wrote down his wish on the table mat. Although he did not win the grand prize, his wish came true!  How fortunate! Since then, a bowl of hot noodle soup made with our favourite ingredients has become what our family would call "fortune noodle".

Being fortunate does not necessarily mean having an expensive birthday party, wearing elaborate or pricey clothes, or owning lots and lots of money in the bank. Being fortunate is being accompanied by people who love you, or simply having a little satisfaction and warmth before our eyes. Most importantly, it is having our body and mind healthy enough to enjoy it, and to share it.

Me encanta la sopa de fideos. En invierno, cuando tengo las manos rígidas por el frío, o cuando estoy sobrecargada de trabajo y pierdo el apetito, ¡un plato de sopa de fideos caliente me llena inmediatamente de felicidad infinita! Mi hijo mayor tiene ahora 15 años. Durante sus últimos ocho cumpleaños, lo llevamos a su tienda de fideos favorita en la ciudad para que pudiera pedir un plato de deliciosa sopa de fideos. Su cumpleaños es el día después de Año Nuevo. Hace ocho años, en su cumpleaños, visitamos esa tienda de fideos por primera vez. El mantel frente a cada cliente era un trozo de papel blanco que decía: "¡Feliz año nuevo! Puedes escribir tus deseos para el Año Nuevo y compartirlos con nosotros en nuestro IG. Aquellos que compartan tendrán la oportunidad de ganar un gran premio." Ese año, mi hijo mayor escribió su deseo en el mantel. Aunque no ganó el gran premio, ¡su deseo se hizo realidad! ¡Qué suerte! Desde entonces, un plato de sopa de fideos caliente elaborado con nuestros ingredientes favoritos se ha convertido en lo que nuestra familia llamaría "fideos de la fortuna".

Ser afortunado no significa necesariamente tener una fiesta de cumpleaños costosa, usar ropa elaborada o tener muchísimo dinero en el banco. Ser afortunado es estar acompañado de personas que te quieren, o simplemente tener un poco de satisfacción y calidez ante nuestros ojos. Lo más importante es tener el cuerpo y mente lo suficientemente sanos para disfrutarlo y compartirlo.
