小時候最愛跟親友聚在一起玩<大富翁>， 可以忘形地玩多個小時，買房買地、被罰款、 去坐牢，轉個圈機會又來， 再買地、收購物業， 然後收購全世界! 好爽啊！這是個既滿足現實得不到的渴望又最爽的遊戲。坐牢更不是因為犯了什麼罪， 只是機緣巧合而已，成為階下囚也能東山再起。這款遊戲在「能令孩子心算進步」的加持下，即使沒有道德規範也沒關係，總之大家玩得暢快！我以為只有我這一代的香港人才迷上<大富翁>，怎料在世界很多國家，大人小孩，這一代上一代都很喜歡這遊戲。二十年前， 當我的西班牙語還是很差勁的時候，<大富翁>更曾為我打開溝通之門，化解文化障礙 。 <大富翁>萬歲！

When I was a kid, I loved to get together with family and friends to play Monopoly. I could play it for hours and hours. Buying houses and land, being fined, going to jail, and then an opportunity comes… so buying land again, acquiring properties, and finally conquering the whole world! How awesome! This is the most enjoyable game to satisfy the unsatisfiable desires we have in reality. Even being locked in jail is not because we have committed any crime. It is simply a coincidence. And being a prisoner can make a comeback. Many adults believe that this game can help improve children´s mental arithmetic, as a result even though there is no moral code in the game it does not really matter. In short, everyone has great fun! 

I used to think that only people of my generation would be obsessed with Monopoly. To my surprise, people of all ages all over the world love this game. Twenty years ago when my Spanish was still very poor, Monopoly had even opened the door of communication for me and resolved many cultural barriers I encountered. Long live <Monopoly>!

Cuando era pequeña, me encantaba reunirme con familiares y amigos para jugar al Monopoly. Podría jugarlo durante horas y horas. Comprar casas y terrenos, ser multado, ir a la cárcel, y luego llega una oportunidad… ¡así que volver a comprar terrenos, adquirir propiedades y finalmente conquistar el mundo entero! ¡Qué asombroso! Este es el juego más divertido para satisfacer los deseos insatisfechos que tenemos en la realidad. Incluso el estar encerrados en la cárcel no es porque hayamos cometido ningún delito. Es simplemente una coincidencia. Y siendo un prisionero siempre se puede escapar y comenzar de nuevo. Muchos adultos creen que este juego puede ayudar a mejorar la aritmética mental de los niños, por lo que aunque no exista un código moral en el juego, realmente no importa. En resumen, ¡todos se divierten mucho!

Solía pensar que sólo la gente de mi generación estaría obsesionada con el Monopoly. Para mi sorpresa, a personas de todas las edades en todo el mundo les encanta este juego. Hace veinte años, cuando mi español todavía era muy malo, Monopoly incluso me abrió la puerta de la comunicación y resolvió muchas barreras culturales que encontré. ¡Larga vida al <Monopoly>!
