About Us

Otero is a rural junior college located in La Junta, Colorado. The student population is about 1200 students. The beautiful 40-acre campus offers all the amenities of a university with on-campus housing, 12 intercollegiate athletic sports and a wide array of student activities. OJC is a Hispanic Serving College with over 37% of the students of Hispanic decent and over 50% of the student population identifying as students of color. The college offers the Associate of Arts and Associate of Science degrees that if completed successfully, are guaranteed to transfer the student into a Colorado public university at junior level status.
