Awarded a Top 5% rating for Best Undergraduate Teaching in the National Category (US News & World Report 2020), Gonzaga University is a Catholic, liberal arts school in the Jesuit tradition located on 152 acres that border the Spokane River in Spokane, WA. Making the fifteen-minute walk to downtown Spokane, Gonzaga students have access to shopping, theatre, concerts, galleries, restaurants, and Riverfront Park. They also have excellent access to outdoor recreation. Gonzaga’s 5,300 undergraduate students are a diverse group of individuals representing nearly every U.S. state and over 40 countries as well 24 different faith backgrounds. Gonzaga offers over 75 fields of study in five undergraduate schools: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering & Applied Science, and Nursing & Human Physiology. Gonzaga allows for close student-faculty interaction; faculty teach all academic courses, including labs, and hold weekly office hours. The academic environment encourages critical thinking and contemplative action, as well as offers great access to research, design projects, and internships. GU offers competitive financial aid packages with 99% of admitted students receiving a scholarship &/or grant.
