About Us
Alaska Pacific University (APU) is a small private liberal arts and sciences university providing personalized, experiential, hands-on instruction with Alaska as its primary classroom. APU is located in Anchorage, Alaska on the traditional homelands of the Dena'ina Athabascan people.
Encouraging student development, supporting community engagement, and honoring Alaska’s Indigenous heritage, APU seeks to cultivate a unique and powerful educational experience. At APU, we believe that students are more than a number. Here, students are a part of a community. Our application process isn't just about test scores and high GPA's, it's about learning your story and discovering how you want to grow, for yourself and for your community.
