Project VetTrain

The VetTrain project aims to better understand challenges that veterans face in the civilian job interview and obtain quantitative insights into the civilian job interview via experiential and sensory data collected from veterans and interviewers while performing an online job interview. The project has analyzed stressor responses of interviewees via self-reported, physiological, and acoustic data and designed just-in-time interventions for mitigating stress during the interview training or the actual interview. It has further designed AI-assisted training interfaces for enhancing interviewee performance in the job interview based on natural language processing (NLP) algorithms that automatically detect linguistic behaviors relevant to the success of veteran interviewees in the civilian job interview.
