Tri-County Overdose PreventionPartnership

The Tri-County Overdose Prevention Partnership is a community-based partnership committed to addressing prescription opioid misuse and overdose in Adams, Arapahoe, and Douglas Counties.

Our goals include:

  1. Preventing overdose deaths in our three counties.
  2. Increasing awareness and education of the factors leading to and preventing overdose.

Strategic Framework

Our work is structured around six overarching strategy areas, based upon the existing framework of The Colorado Consortium for Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention.

Mapping the Epidemic

Lives lost to opioid overdose has reached epidemic proportions in the United States, and the Tri-County community is not immune. Fortunately, overdose deaths are preventable. Education and awareness of the factors leading to overdose can reduce opioid related deaths in our community.

Opioid Mortality 2010-2015

The point density map is based on the number of opioid or heroin related deaths in the given time period. Point locations are determined by geocoding residential addresses of the deceased.
