Shohei Wakayama
Hello! I am an ML Scientist at Helios Inc. I obtained my PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado Boulder, where I worked with Prof. Nisar Ahmed at the COHRINT Lab.
My research interests lie in Bayesian state estimation, sequential decision-making under uncertainty, and human-robot interaction for robotic search and exploration of unknown remote environments.
Previously, I completed my B. Eng in Mechanical Engineering from Kyushu University ('18), where I worked on perception system for a lower-limb exoskeleton robot with Prof. Kazuo Kiguchi.
