Welcome to Class 50

A message from your teacher...

Hello Class 5O, I miss seeing you everyday, but remember, even though we might not be in school together, I am still here to support your learning.

Happy Easter Holidays everyone, remember to have two weeks off from learning (check out below for this week's 'Stars of the week', I will make sure that I share the certificate with you both). It's been brilliant reading the work that you have shared with me so far! Well done to CM, BM, DA and IA, who have been using Reading Express and CM, CB, RW and JB who have been regularly using Times Table Rock Stars, keep up the good work!

Have fun with your families, the weather forecast looks good, so hopefully there will be the chance of an Easter egg hunt in the garden and possibly even the odd water fight. In case you need some fun ideas, follow the link below, for some cool Easter Activities. Try to keep a record of what you have completed and post some pictures!

This time, I have set two 100 challenges, one for each week, how did the pillow fighting go, hopefully you didn't get into too much trouble lol? In case you were wondering about the tadpoles, Mrs Siddoli kindly tipped them back into the little pond, so they were reunited with mum and dad. Let's hope we get back in time, to see them fully developed.

Anyway, remember keep positive, keep learning and keep smiling. I am hoping to see you all really soon. There should soon be a video posted of me reading 'Dr Zargle's book of relations,' and some photos of me completing my own 100 challenges, don't forget to check them out!

Again, happy Easter, to every single one of you and all your families too. Stay strong, stay safe and stay healthy. Enjoy the chocolate, missing you all, Mrs Outhwaite.

Children who attended school last week, looked at the location of the International Space Station.

If you'd like to take a look visit:

You can enter your location (or just zoom into Chelmsford on the map) and it will tell you the date, time and compass location of the International Space Station each day. It looks like a moving cross and a bit like a star, so look carefully!

Top tips for parents

Point out the maths in everyday life. Include your child in activities involving numbers and measuring, such as shopping, cooking and travelling, using money and telling the time.

Praise your child for effort rather than for being "clever". This shows them that by working hard they can always improve.
