Major Deadlines

  1. Proposal

Due November 17th

    • One half to one full page discussion listing main source/book and the direction student’s research is expected to take.
    • All proposals must be approved by thesis advisor (Ms. Williams or Mr. Gitner)
    • Share with advisor on Google Drive


  1. Annotated Bibliography

Due December 20st

    • Description of at least 5 sources you will use in your paper
    • Each description should be at least 150 words in length and should include a summary of the source, how the source is relevant to your thesis, and the type (website, book) of source
    • You should have at least one book, two journal articles (JStor, Ebsco), and two websites

  1. Outline

Due February 2nd

    • Two to three page outline articulating main argument and supporting points which will be developed in the research paper.
    • Share with advisor on Google Drive


  1. 1st Rough Draft (meet with advisor)

Due March 2rd

    • Full-length (12-15 page) draft developing argument and analyzing sources.
    • May lack in organization, style, formatting and depth of analysis
    • Share with advisor


  1. 2nd Rough Draft (meet with advisor)

Due April 4th

    • Full-length (12-15 page) draft developing argument and analyzing sources.
    • May lack in stylistic elements and formatting
    • Share with advisor


  1. Final Draft

Due May 4th

    • Full-length (10-12 page) draft developing argument and analyzing sources.
    • Meets all guidelines established in “Collegiate Academy Senior Thesis Rubric”
    • Share with advisor


  1. Oral Presentation
