There are two student housing co-ops in West Campus, but we work together closely and share the same values. Check out either co-op to learn more!
In a housing co-op, you are your own landlord
The residents of a housing co-op are also the owners of the co-op! Decisions about our room policies, quiet hours, and even next year's rent are all set democratically by the members in the co-op. No investors are profiting from us, and no outsiders are raising our rents.
This shows up in everything we do - the way our buildings are designed, how we make decisions, what kinds of food we keep in the kitchen, how your rent dollars get used, and what kinds of events happen in the community!
Our co-ops are non-profits!
Both co-ops are 501(c)3 non-profits with a mission to offer democratic control and affordable housing for students. We create hands-on educational experiences in a supportive living environment designed to help our members have the best student living experience possible.
Our co-ops were founded by students, for students
Our co-ops offer programs and services designed to save you time and money. Whether it's leases that fit a student calendar or a fully stocked kitchen and daily hot meals, our co-ops are designed to make student life more convenient, more connected, and more rewarding.
This also means when you have questions or want to suggest a change, you can work with other students at the co-op, and our student members also hire paid staff to help us do more.
Our buildings are set up to balance school and social life
Whether you're looking for a quiet corner to study, a lively conversation over dinner, a party, or a private room to yourself, our co-ops have a space to fit. We also have different sizes of houses and different vibes for each house - if you want a quieter space or a more social one, our members have created an environment for you!

We build community!
Co-op members take care of each other because we understand what it's like being a student. That might mean voting on different quiet hours during finals to help each other study, a housemate bringing you a dinner plate when you have a cold, or someone to turn to when you're handling a conflict.
Our co-ops are communities because students own them and students run them. Come see for yourself why co-ops are different!
We live in amazing houses
Our co-ops have taken root in some of the most unique buildings you'll ever visit. Whether it's the historic fairytale look of Helios, the classy five story hotel that became Taos, or the custom-designed spaces at 21st Street and Ruth Schulze, every one of our houses offers something more interesting, more human, and more open to your ideas than you'll find in any apartment or dorm.
