Rydym wrth ein bodd i gymryd y cyfle hwn i'ch croesawu i'n hadran ni. Bydd y dudalen hon yn cynnal gweithgareddau i chi eu cwblhau wrth baratoi ar gyfer eich astudiaethau gyda ni ym mis Medi.

Bydd y gweithgareddau isod yn gyfle gwych i chi gael blas ar y cwrs a rhai o’r meysydd y byddwch yn eu harchwilio.

Bydd hwn hefyd yn gyfle gwych i ni ddod i adnabod ein gilydd ac i chi ddechrau cwrdd â rhai o’r dysgwyr a fydd yn astudio gyda chi yn ein hadran.

We are excited to take this opportunity to welcome you to our department. This page will host activities for you to complete in preparation for your studies with us in September.

The activities below will be an excellent opportunity for you to get a flavour of the course and some of the areas that you will be exploring.

This will also be a good opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to start to meet some of the learners who will be studying with you in our department.

Bydd tiwtor a fydd yn gweithio gyda chi dros 4 wythnos y rhaglen yn cysylltu â chi. Bydd eich tiwtor yn cysylltu â chi drwy’r cyfeiriad e-bost rydych wedi ei roi i’r coleg.

Dyma ble byddwch yn gallu siarad yn uniongyrchol â’ch tiwtoriaid a gofyn unrhyw gwestiynau y gall fod gennych.

Bydd staff yn gallu eich arwain drwy’r gwaith isod a rhoi adborth wrth i chi fynd yn eich blaen.

Keeping in Touch!

You will be contacted by a tutor who will be working with you over the 4 weeks of the programme. Your tutor will contact you via the email address that you have provided to the college.

This will be where you can talk directly with your tutors and to ask any questions that you may have.

Staff will be able to guide you through the work below and give feedback as you go.

Below are the activities that will be taking place over the next four weeks. Your tutor will contact you each week via email to let you know what you need to do and when to start and when to complete each section.

WYTHNOS 1 - Wythnos sy’n dechrau dydd Llun 22ain Mehefin

WEEK 1 - Week beginning Monday 22nd June

The first session has been designed as an introduction to the Level 3 programme and construction and the built environment as a subject area. The aim is for students to explore the industry, appreciate how diverse it is and look at the variety of career pathways it offers.

WYTHNOS 2 - Wythnos sy’n dechrau dydd Llun 29ain Mehefin

WEEK 2 - Week beginning Monday 29th June

Week 2 Aim:

To provide an overview of how the built environment is moving towards more sustainable processes and products, designed to protect the natural environment. Please watch the introduction to activities video before reading slides and completion of assessment material.

WYTHNOS 3 - Wythnos sy’n dechrau dydd Llun 6ed Gorffennaf

WEEK 3 - Week beginning Monday 6th July

Aim

The aim of this session is to simulate taking readings through an Automatic level prior to using the more expensive equipment in practical.

There is a reasonable level of skill required in reading an E-staff accurately and using a automatic level is the first step on this journey.

WYTHNOS 4 - Wythnos sy’n dechrau dydd Llun 13eg Gorffennaf

WEEK 4 - Week beginning Monday 13th July

AIMS

The aim of this session is to familiarise learners with the concept of gaining 3 dimensional information from a 2 dimensional resource. The ability to be able to read a contour map and visualise in your mind the shape of the land, is a necessary skill for surveyors

This is fundamental understanding required before visiting a site in order to produce their own detailed contour maps.
