Rydym wrth ein bodd i gymryd y cyfle hwn i'ch croesawu i'n hadran ni. Bydd y dudalen hon yn cynnal gweithgareddau i chi eu cwblhau wrth baratoi ar gyfer eich astudiaethau gyda ni ym mis Medi.

Bydd y gweithgareddau isod yn gyfle gwych i chi gael blas ar y cwrs a rhai o’r meysydd y byddwch yn eu harchwilio.

Bydd hwn hefyd yn gyfle gwych i ni ddod i adnabod ein gilydd ac i chi ddechrau cwrdd â rhai o’r dysgwyr a fydd yn astudio gyda chi yn ein hadran.

We are excited to take this opportunity to welcome you to our department. This page will host activities for you to complete in preparation for your studies with us in September.

The activities below will be an excellent opportunity for you to get a flavour of the course and some of the areas that you will be exploring.

This will also be a good opportunity for us to get to know one another and for you to start to meet some of the learners who will be studying with you in our department.

Keeping in Touch!

You will be contacted by a tutor who will be working with you over the 4 weeks of the programme. Your tutor will contact you via the email address that you have provided to the college.

This will be where you can talk directly with your tutors and to ask any questions that you may have.

Staff will be able to guide you through the work below and give feedback as you go.

Hello everyone and welcome to this online resource from our carpentry department.

The carpentry team consists of Paul Evans , Brian Herbert , Huw Jones, Andrew Easton, Gareth Duncan and Craig Chesby & Paul Norrington (technician).

The aim of this session is to provide you with information on the safe handling of construction materials and associated manual handling techniques.

We have included a presentation document that will help you to develop key knowledge on topic area. Please complete the google form worksheet at the end of the session to check learning.

Aim of session -Introduction to a range of wood chisels. Please read the slides before attempting the two interactive assessment documents.

Objectives

Identify at least two chisels.
State at least one use for each chisel.
List at least three parts of the chisel.
